
Leonard A. Robinson
Leonard A. Robinson is a journalist based in New York City.
He is currently a reporter for CFO Brew, a corporate finance-focused vertical of Morning Brew, a newsletter production company providing news across an array of industries from Silicon Valley to Wall Street.
Leonard previously was a senior reporter at the New York Business Journal, a publication of American City Business Journals, where he wrote about commercial real estate and economic development. He previously wrote for NYBJ’s sister publications, Dayton Business Journal and the Baltimore Business Journal where he was a reporting intern.
Prior to joining NYBJ, Leonard was a staff writer for Consumer’s Bulletin where he wrote about a wide range of business topics and consumer issues. He also worked as a reporting intern for Reason, under the talented Elizabeth Nolan Brown, and Carolina Journal ,under the dynamic editorial duo of Rick Henderson and John Trump, where he reported on local politics and the North Carolina state legislature.
He has also participated in numerous journalism fellowships, such as the 2022 Ravitch Fiscal Reporting Program, 2021 New York Times Student Journalism Institute, 2021 Politico Journalism Institute, and Young Voices fellowship in the 2019 class. His writing has also been published in Business Insider, Center Square, Washington Jewish Week, Washington Examiner, Washington Blade, American Spectator, Los Angeles Blade, and New Voices.
He holds a B.A. in Politics, Policy, and International Affairs from the University of Baltimore where he was editor-in-chief of The Sting, the campus news outlet. He was also a writer for SYMPACT, the official publication of the St. Gallen’s Symposium where he profiled winners of the Global Essay Competition.
